Ruoergai Xiaman(轄曼鎮) Photo Gallery

July 2024

We stayed a few days in the hometown, Xiaman(轄曼鎮), of our Tibetan friend. We learned that there is a better way of life beside the one we used to.

Xiaman(轄曼鎮), a little gem, is the center of the surrounding grassland.
Overlooking the town from the grassland
Our friend took us to his auntie’s home for breakfast. She made a lot of effort to make us feel being welcome. Thank you.
A fancy Tibetan breakfast with assorted dried nuts served in a elaborated way, beef buns and fried noodle.
We loved strolling around the little town everyday when we were there, hardly any tourist pass through here. The sign says left is the temple, right is the school and go straight to the next town.
A beautiful temple occupied the center of the town.
Religion is a very important part of life in the Tibetan culture.
Everyday people walk through this corridor and turn the prayer wheels.
There are only two streets, the front street and the back street.
Town life.
Not a single traffic light

The town center is the temple.
The front street and the back street. Our friends are raised here and they showed us a good way to live, how to treat others and the nature.
Us enjoying milk tea like the locals.
Stunning view of the town.
Our friend’s home.
He cooks a fresh yak for us.
We contributed junk food, Japanese instant noodle, very bad of us.
We will miss this place and we promised to come back.
A truly beautiful place with wonderful people. Our best wishes to them.
